washing machines!
Sorry to ask such a boring question, we are staying at all star music (in 11 days time! ), family of 5, wont be able to take enough clothes for the whole 2 weeks, and also weirdly quite like washing on holiday, just wondering what peoples experiences are with the washing machines onsite. Is it hard to find a free one? Do they take ages? Are they easy to operate? Am I ok to take a few washing capsules from home? Thanks oh wise ones x

Bring your own capsules from home.
And don't put any new/fancy clothes in the washer/dryer it is a lot hotter then at home. I have shrunk a few shirts |

Sorry, but can’t answer about machines on site. I’d just like to add that my DW likes washing clothes on holiday too! She hates coming home with dirty laundry.

She does, she loves to collect everybody’s clothes at the end of the day.

I do washing on holiday too as I don't like coming home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes plus there's the thought of having to do it after that long overnight flight back to the UK! When I stayed at POFQ last year the laundry room was right by the pool so I put the washing on, had a dip in the pool, put the washing in the dryer and had another dip in the pool

When you accept that you will be doing some washing on holiday, it makes packing a lot easier! On our first visit we both took full suitcases, totally overpacked. Now we pack enough for half the time we are there and schedule in some relaxing hotel time in the middle and end of our trip to use the laundry. The machines are easy to use, though we do take our own washing tablets as I have sensitive skin and I don't know what the US powder has in it.
OH also hates bringing back dirty clothes - only time he is interested in anything to do with the washing! |
