I just read that! I thought it was Alamo car hire! But I feel sorry for all those who have just posted their holidays. I know form personal experience how gutting it can be. Added to this BA strikes and Thomas Cook on the edge, But personally i don't believe they will go under, not a good couple of weeks for the travel industry. I hope all rebook and have a fab holiday!

I had a hotel booked in Hamburg in December through Amoma. I emailed the hotel last night and they said it has been prepaid so everything is fine.
I'm printing out that email and taking it with me though.

From what I can gather from replies above it seems some hotels have been paid and others haven’t! I’m still waiting to hear from Hilton, I emailed them last night but with time difference I will have to wait until this afternoon to call.

You can also claim using charge back when using a debit card.

Thank you so much for this, I had a quick read last night and assumed as it was over 120 days ago that we booked it was a big no-no, but looks like there may be a possibility, even if it’s pushed to the ombudsman.

I used my credit card for my room, so section 75, but my son used his debit card.

Still waiting to hear if the room as been prepaid or not, so there’s still a tiny ray of hope!

Mobile Holiday to Calella Palace Hotel

What a shock.. Had email to say hotel booking at Calella Palace hotel has been cancelled.. This company has ceased trading.. 3 telephone calls later we have booked direct with the Hotel.. How does this person sleep at night?

I’ve had a reply from my hotel who say they still have to booking on file but it only gets paid once we arrive from a third party ‘hotelbeds.com’ so it depends now if they have been paid by Amoma.
I have now emailed hotelbeds🙄

My stay has been cancelled at RPR when I spoke to them they explained they only get paid once guests check out. So I have booked direct and got a discount being an AP holder.

Hampton Inn tell me they have been paid so my booking is ok.

Although this has taken most of the day backwards and forwards. Fortunately my original bookings were done on my Clarity card.

Same, I phoned Halifax at 7am as mine were done on my clarity and they said they would get the disputes team to call me in 7-10 days is this what you were advised too? I have managed to sort mine out today too with a different booking albeit I will still need to wait a while for my £550 refund but just glad it looks like I will get it back.
