Phew, that's a relief. The Universal ban on OL was bad enough. Thanks for checking.

I’m sure that’s part of it! I saw a large amazon truck dropping off at SSR yesterday, I’m sure it was full to bursting with groceries and deliveries!

It makes a lot of sense - outside vendor deliveries must take up so much space. Plus a lot of people have Bell Services deliver it to their rooms which I suspect takes them away from their actual job of delivering/picking up luggage for guests.

I agree. It must have been a complete pain keeping track of 100's of packages. I guess they decided that even charging didn't make it worthwhile

Just posted this over in the special needs thread for ECV/stroller/wheelchair drop offs. A real shame.

https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1147412

Still a little confusion at the moment about groceries though, as Touring Plans state third party grocery companies have asked WDW if it affects them and have been told they are still OK.

Other sources reporting otherwise though. One to watch I guess.

I just emailed Garden Grocer about this as we have an order to be deliver by them and this was their response:

Hello,

It only affects scooters and stroller rentals and Instacart and Amazon Prime. It does not affect Garden Grocer.

-Kevin

Hope this helps?

Kat

I can see why garden grocer isn't in the same situation as a stroller rental but as it affects instacart they are a direct competitor so unless Disney is showing bias they should also be refusing garden grocer deliveries

I have a feeling that GG have a long standing agreement with Disney as they have been delivering there for over 10 years I believe.

It makes a lot of sense. I suspect it's because the packages take up a lot of storage plus Bell Services cms spend a lot of time delivering them to rooms instead of doing what they're actually employed to do.
