What clothes to pack for current weather...
Last time we went (Aug 2015) it was crazy hot all the time with a sudden mad downpour around 3pm and sometimes rain and lightening in the evening so we wore vest tops and shorts all the time. Then dodged the rain or ran to car and got drenched but then it was quickly over!
Checking the weather for now it seems like the rain is pretty much constant so what are people wearing?! It's still hot but if wearing vests and shorts are you just walking round wet all the time? We have ponchos but figured they would be used once a day in rush to the car like before, cant take them on and off and carry them around wet all day, maybe people have brollys or hoodys? We're going earlier this time so will be busier, I remember there not being enough places to shelter away last time, how are you coping if there? Any advice on what to pack? I just dont know what to pack now! |

Weather is usual August weather, very hot with afternoon showers. Yesterday was wetter than usual from around 2pm but it was still warm. Normal August weather to resume from Sunday. We haven’t used a hoody once, just a poncho and that has only been once.

We go a week on Monday...I will wear Manchester weather clothes to travel in, and they go in a bag about half an hour before we land (I get changed, not arrive half dressed). They never see light again until I'm back in the airport on the way home.

We're just packing shorts and tops plus 1 pair of jeans and 1 hoody each. Looks like we're going the same day as you 😊 Ooh you're 5 minutes ahead of us 😊

I would still just pack tshirts and shorts , even though it rains it will still be hot and you would be very unlucky not to be able to run in somewhere out of the rain

We are here now and yesterday’s forecast was for rain all day. We didn’t see any rain until after 3pm. Before that it was hot and sunny. We’ve lived in T-shirt’s and shorts for the last 3 weeks. There is some word of tropical waves heading up over the next week so I might be a bit wetter than it has been. An umbrella is handy to have. You don’t get as hot as when under a poncho!

We here now and the first bit of rain we had was yesterday from 3 and it came down. We just put a poncho on and our feet got wet so bring enough shoes I would say. All we have is t shirt and shorts. I'm not that bothered as it still warm with the rain.

I would definitely bring extra shoes in case you get caught out. Other than that you should be fine with ponchos or an umbrella.
