I guess only from speaking with them on my previous visits and eating lots previously.
Some of the cheesecakes use eggs to set them so are oven baked to cook the eggs. Others use gelatine leaf to set cream cheese which only requires refrigerating to set. Usually the tall bubbly looking cheesecakes are not baked. |

Slightly mixed views from us. My jamaican prawn dish was superb, all portions were v big and the cheesecake we took away was also excellent - at least according to me and one son. My wife thought whole place was (sorry) not that clean and i was a bit disappointed atmosphere-wise. however prawns (sorry, shrimp as they say over there) were really so good i would go back but the rest of us wouldnt!

The calorie counts are horrific Ridersmom aren’t they 😆 For the food too although they have a “skinnylicious menu” - don’t like the name but appreciate the options. We’re going to meet friends there next week and I like to treat myself on holiday but the pasta dish I had my eye on had 2,400 calories and a slice of Oreo cheesecake 1,600. Total insanity, I too thought at first it surely couldn’t be just one portion.

We went there the other day and mains portions were huge so we ended up just having a bite of our cheesecakes and boxing them up, I was surprised to find that very many of them dont have a traditional digestive/Graham cracker base, the oreo one is in a brownie base imo this means it's not a cheesecake! The menu doesn't always say what the base is either so you order expecting it to be biscuit and it is cake... not sure your hubby will be a fan if that.. I wasnt!

Consider getting hubby to look at the menu in advance and call ahead asking if those he fancies are baked or not?
My eldest son loves almost every dessert going but won’t entertain the idea of cheesecake (even though he likes cheese) - I’m hoping we’re going and he’ll change his mind when he sees the S’mores one!

Oh no that would push him right over the edge 😂😂 its got to be digestive base, philadelphia... no bake! I don’t think we’ll be going haha... it all sounds just too complicated! Give me a doughnut and I’m delighted!

We find the Cheesecake quite rich, but we both love the Carrot Cakewe share a piece, just don’t read the calories

Been to cf several times but never made it to the cheesecakes! One day!
BUT if your husband loves cheesecake he HAS to try the English cheesecake company at Waitrose. My absolute favourite is their lotus biscuit cheesecake, it has swirls of lotus spread in it, Devine! Melts in the mouth like butter! And I don’t even normally like cheesecake 😂 Here is a picture of a large one, I could take that on easily otherwise they do them in small slices Edited at 09:40 AM. |

I love cheesecake, it is one of my favourite desserts, but it is just not the same in the US and I think your DH could be disappointed. I have only been to CF once and we loved that too, but for the savoury food, we took a cheesecake each to go and they were nice but we do prefer what we can get here.

Pretty sure New York style IS baked. Personally I can't finish a slice from Cheesecake Factory over 3 meals as they are pretty sickly and huge. Even the "lighter portion" main courses are pretty big.
