We’ve got Golden Oldie relatives with us right now they wanted Liver onions mashed potatoes and peas
Well that awakened memories of lunch on a Saturday at there house when Mum was sleeping on her weekend on as A&E Sister
It was delicious and Grandson 3 loved it and asked for more meat pure comfort food
DH and DS had potted Hough and a tiny bit of liver which they both said we’d eat that again

Pasta with chicken and roasted red pepper sauce. Quite healthy as sauce recipe contained avocado to make it creamy.

Also made Jus-Rol Home-Baked Tear and Share, which everyone agreed was delicious and I've been instructed only to buy this garlic bread from now on!

Think I'm gonna make a chunky chilli, cos I got beef steak out of freezer instead on beef mince 😂

so i made cioppino... we've just returned from a cottage in seahouses, where the home of the kipper was literally a minutes walk away... so it seemed rude not to load up the coolbox and bring some home!

so i took this

then threw the trimmed bits into a pan with some water...

made a nice base sauce.. onion, garlic, tomato, sugar, S&P, worcester sauce, a dash of fish sauce (my own addition), fresh basil and cinnamon (i was wary, but it really worked!)

threw the strained fish stock into the pan to loosen the sauce up, then dropped the fish in (in stages) to come up with this...

and theres enough leftover sauce for another round of it tonight to use up the rest of the fish we brought back)

I picked all my butternut squashes yesterday. Some of them were small or split so I have just started making a Thai butternut squash soup, with coconut milk, lemongrass, chilli, ginger, a lime, lots of onions and a little garlic. To be served with crusty bread.
