We flew with virgin and bought them on the plane £28 for 200 regal.

I bought Pall Mall red for 45 dollars for 200 over there, they were fine for me. I smoke Silk Cut in the UK they are currently £40 for 400 on a Virgin Flight (Pre Order)

I usually buy on the plane on the way out and duty free in the way back . US cigs are way too strong in my opinion but it depends on what brand you smoke I guess.

I bought at airport as wasn't sure if they would have much choice on the plane, silver B&H were about £2.40 for 20, got some at MCO on way back about the same.
