Disney's BoardWalk - worth visiting?
Hi all
We're a group of eight staying off-site but very close to WDW next April. We've heading to all the major theme parks, plus a day out at Clearwater, but there's the odd gap in our holiday plan to explore other places on what I would call 'chillout days'... which got me thinking about Disney's BoardWalk and whether it was worth a visit. It looks very nice, and would only be a short drive for us, but wondered what attractions it has and, in particular, if there's anything to keep a 6-y-o and 3-y-o entertained. If not, we'll scratch if off our list and look at alternatives, crazy golf, more time around pool etc... Thanks |

As has been posted before it is valet parking at Boardwalk for $25. There is a free parking lot but it was full and closed when we tried to visit one afternoon last week.
We usually like a wander round the lake at Boardwalk but would never pay money like that for it. |

We stay there and like the atmosphere but I wouldn't say there was anything specific for kids to do.
Why not take a break from Epcot one afternoon and have a walk around the lake. |

As others have said it's more a nice stroll in a lovely setting. They do have Surrey bikes for hire and a couple of sideshow type stalls. There's usually a street entertainer at night like a magician or similar.
I think the main appeal is the atmosphere which is probably more appreciated by adults. If you're in the area it's worth a visit to see for yourself. You mentioned crazy golf and the boardwalk is close to Fantasia gardens crazy golf. Hope this helps

We love it just to have a wander around plus it's where we got married so it'll always be a special place for us.

Could be worth a visit and watching one of the outside movies at the hotels? Have a look here for details of where they are held at the Yacht & Beach Club or the Boardwalk Inn.
