Hi,
Has anyone gone done to Clearwater and tried the Sea Screamer boat trip and was it any good? The videos on youtube look great but is it worth the trip down from Orlando? |

We loved it There are photos and a review in our 2013 trip report. Well worth the trip down although we also combined it with Busch Gardens

We did this in august and all ( kids 9,11 & 16) said it was one of best days of the holiday. Would highly recommend it.

We are going after visiting Busch Gardens but staying over in Clearwater for the night to break up the journey and spend the next day on the beach. I cannot wait for the Sea screamer. It looks fabulous and the reviews are ace.

It is pretty good, but you do get seriously wet. So bear that in mind if you are going to have to live in the same clothes all day !
We found it went out in slightly rougher weather than some of the other dolphin spotting trips, but, that said, you are still at the mercy of the weather a bit. Last time we went to Clearwater first, parked in hotel car park (find one with parking as it is absolutely at a premium), went to the beach, went on the screamer, went to hotel to check in. Changed clothes, out for tea, walk on beach down to pier for sunset. Up early doors next day to head back via BG. It was worth it. |

Little toot is good, but I have found that when it is slightly rough Little Toot wont go out and Sea Screamer does (although last time they caveatted it by saying the Cap'n would play it by ear as to whether he went out beachside or not). He did !
Boy it was wet and rough. But great fun... apparently you dont see so many Dolphins when it is choppy. Not sure why, I would have thought they would like the waves... |

It's fantastic. Wear plenty of high factor suncream. In full sun in the wind and spray of a speedboat = fried!
