i was about to echo what Sotong has said- many of the ships excursions you can do yourself- or through other cheaper companies. We got a good deal for ur cruise- free deluxe drinks, free internet, $100 on board credit per person also, all told our cruise was a little over 4K for 3 x adults.

Have a look at cruise nation sometimes they offer good deals including hotels post or pre cruise and flights.

Sometimes it can work out cheaper to book via the US site as agents can offer other perks. Try cruise planners for a US TA or ToAd

Also make sure the ship stops at a non EU port for example Kotor or Gibraltar otherwise you will have to pay VAT on every single drink, package or no package.

Who did you book with I notice that loads of UK agents are giving deals that RCI dont give but its a complete pain to try to work out if im better off or not with the different exchange rates.

Very busy at work and home at the moment so not getting 10 mins with the wife to try and decide.

I think we should just book the main cruise and wing it with the extras

Must have been a special offer as they are offering nothing like that now.

Just reading this through now as we've booked to go on Symphony next May round the Med. Blimey I wish I'd read it before hand. I think we would have been better waiting for an offer with free drinks/internet packages. Lesson learnt! I really find their website confusing.
