Having been at that time, there is nowhere that is " quite" I have used the busy day guide for some parks, but not for others as it just does not fit with plans usually. This is especially true when booking ADRs and spreading them out I need to split the parks and universal up which can be at odds with the BDG.
I would say we saw little difference between a " busy day" at MK and recommended day. It was still rammed . MK is so vast you see around a quarter a day if you take you time. We had 4 days there in 2015 ( 21 nights) and did not do everything. So I would go on the first day ( its what defines Disney for us) but just choose your area, say tomorrow land and use the fast passes to your advantage. say Space Mountain, buzz lightyear and Tomorrow land speedway ( does tend to have a long queue) leaving around 2pm as you will have had enough by then I would imagine.
