Cleaning a leather sofa
I have a leather sofa and need to clean the arms, as they are a bit dirty now!
How do you clean your leather sofas? I did get a kit from shop when I purchased sofa 2 years ago but I have never used it and it only has a few wips in it! Help please

Vacuum clean the sofa with a soft brush attachment. ...
Create a cleaning solution by mixing equal parts of water and white vinegar. ... Dip a soft cloth (preferably a microfiber cloth) in this solution and wring it out so that the cloth is damp, not completely wet. When dry use a leather conditioner to keep the leather supple. Baby wipes are quite good for this if they contain lanolin. |

I know a very good Upholsterer and he has done some work on our leather sofa (flattened cushion). He recommended this stuff - Leather Master. You wipe on the cleaning fluid, let it dry then put on the polish.
However always try an area that is hidden first (the back) to test it out ref colour fastness. We do ours 3 or 4 times a year. amazon/d/Car-Motor...leather+master

I always use Baby Wipes on mine once every 2 months, I get through about 3 packet's of them, I have had our leather corner sofa and arm chairs for 6 years now and it still looks like new.

Thank you all for your hints and tips but what brand of baby wipes do you use?

I use baby wipes, usually whichever are on offer or cheapest.

Another baby wipe user here! We do have some leather cleaner too but not fussed on it. Also if it's looking extra dull or dry then a little baby oil on a cloth rubbed over it.

we used to have a cream settee and i used soap flakes dissolved in warm water and use on leather with a soft shoe brush and dry with a cloth. It used to get into all the wrinkles.
