We tried Altamonte mall back in 2012, a great mall and some fantastic bargains we didn't ohave a problem with traffic. We left our villa in Davenport at 10 ish and sailed through. This year we are trying the mall at Brandon which is towards Tampa.

Thats what i mean, you have to look at this and who you have with you and look at if a few $ here and there is going to be worth the hassle if you have smaller kids in the car.

You're on holiday in an area the size of Greater Manchester, everything isn't going to be fifteen minutes away.

I Know what you're saying about everything being spread out, Google maps says it's approx 30 mins drive and we are/were planning to go after driving from Port Canaveral and dropping luggage at our hotel. It's not the driving that bothers me so much it's the sitting in traffic. I drove to/from LA/San Diego last July and spent so much time just sitting in traffic and trying to find alternative routes, I was getting edgy, kids were getting edgy, swore I wouldn't bring anything like that on myself again.
I know it's not the same but I'm just re-thinking the need for shopping at a mall that might save us a few $$ when there is plenty in closer proximity. I'll wait until closer to the time and see if there's any updates on the roadworks/delays etc and decide then. Might visit Mall at Millenia, we haven't been there yet. Thanks for all the info and help |

we don't bother going too far - the malls in international drive aren't bad - and you have to weigh up the travel time - we only have 10 days this time and we are going legoland, busch gardens so may not bother this year due to th etravelling to these places - i guess it depends what car we get - if its a nice one we will be going everywhere as i will be driving it
