Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Hi All,

Been looking at some of the tariffs here in the UK for this and it's extortionate! £760 Sim Free! Even the contracts are silly - cheapest seems to be Virgin Mobile at £48 per month no up front

But would really like one... so I am I thinking...

1) Would it likely be cheaper to buy in the US?
2) Is it possible to do this and use it in the UK with no problems?
3) Where would I buy it from? (not familiar with US carriers and suppliers)

Thanks!

I went into vodafone the other day, my contract is up on sunday,
I can get it for £43 per month , 600 min, unlimited text and 1GB on 4G. £49 upfront though.
Apple price for sure.

I also have a trade in price for my s4 of £96 so theoretically brings it down to £39 per month, which I probably will go for.

I dont think to be honest it will be that much cheaper over in the Usa.

I'm with Vodafone too but can't upgrade until late May I was kind of hoping to have the new phone before we went away. I'm also considering switching to Three because of the feels like home tariff. Their deals are way off at the moment though

I thought too of buying it, then looked at the sim only price that I would require. That was about £15 per month.

Contracts have now become "payment plans" for phones. As for trading in phones, sell it on ebay if it's OK condition - you should get a lot more than your network provider will offer.

If buying in the USA, make sure it is 4G enabled for UK networks.

Having a look online, looks like you can pick it up in the states for $699. I make that about £466 - quite a saving I think?

So back to my original question - if I walk into a shop in the states and purchase it, will it work for me back in the UK?
