Dining Reservations First Timer question
Hi
I'm just trying to put my itinerary and have noticed that people have put dining reservations on theirs. I haven't even thought about this, do we need to make reservations? I thought we could just pull up somewhere and eat. Many thanks Karen |

It depends whether you are wanting to eat offsite or onsite.
As you're going at Easter, if you want to eat in Disney restaurants - it's highly recommended to book them now as it's very unlikely you'll be able to walk up on the day. Especially for Easter weekend.

You only have to pre book restaurants on Disney property.

It also depends on which types of restaurants you plan to use. If you want to use WDW table service or buffet restaurants then booking in advance is important, particularly if you want a specific restaurant on a specific day or time. If you just plan to use quick service places then you don't need to book, with the exception of the Be Our Guest restaurant which can be booked up to 180 days out in the same way as you book table service dining.

if your planning on eating at disney , have ddp? then it looks as if you will need to pre book, months in advance for the more popular eateries
but if you are eating offsite ie/ not at disney then you can just drive/walk upto wherever you choose and expect at worst a short wait apologies if thats a bit vague but only ever ate off site & have never pre booked anything.. |

People who have put dining reservations on their itinerary are looking to eat at specific restaurants onsite at Disney. If you don't have a Disney dining plan and don't want to do any character meals in the parks I wouldn't worry about it.

If you eating at WDW you will need to pre book the restaurant and time.
Its a fun game to anticipate at what time you will be hungry in 6 months time. I have planned a packet of cheese and onion at 4pm this coming sunday ! Disney 332
