Celebration is a very pleasant community developed originally by Disney to reflect the ideal small town America. Disney have no involvement with it now.

There's not really "stuff to do" but it's nice to have a stroll around the lake (with its resident gator ) and sit in the rocking chairs with a Kilwin's ice cream. There's a few boutique type shops, restaurants and the ubiquitous Starbucks.

Nice to visit for Halloween and Christmas when some of the houses are exceptionally decorated

Mick

Every trip we always spend a couple of hours at celebration - as above not a lot to do, but some great lakeside walks. Nice place to people and house watch

I agree with the other posters - not a lot for you to do, but we absolutely loved it there! We walked round the big lake, looking at the turtles round the edges, then also walked round a smaller and much less busy lake next door to it.

The shops are very cute and quaint, and we just enjoyed the peace and quiet, it is sort of an escape from the bustle of the theme parks.

Unfortunately, we also fell in love with the place and could picture ourselves living there!

Yes, us too :'( The only way we'd ever own one would be to win the lottery :'(

I agree with everyone else, not a lot to do there but it's a lovely place. We had lunch on the corner near the post office which was expensive but very tasty and the cakes were out of this world

I know, it is so depressing - I loved everything about the place, the layout, the atmosphere, the pretty houses, and that centre area with the lakes and shops was just so lovely. On the day we visited, there was some sort of country fair thing going on, on what looked like the bowling club or something, and it looked so neighbourly.

Roll on the next lottery rollover!

I wish there was a bowling club in Celebration it would save us having to go to Mount Dora!
We always spend the morning there on the day we travel home. We buy our sandwiches for the journey from the Deli on the corner by the P.O. mentioned previously, then have lunch at the G.C. by Celebration, much quieter and cleaner than evening and mostly frequented by "people Or a certain age" as there is a Seniors Special at Lunchtime!

Celebration is part of our final day routine. It's a lovely relaxed, quint village that reminds us that we need to book a return trip as soon as we return home.
