Mobile Best airboat rides

Hi we are a group of 16 coming in august this year the youngest being 4. We are wanting to go on an airboat ride but we don't want to travel too for from where we are staying on Lake buena vista as we may have to just fit it in on a morning and do a park in the afternoon. Does anyone have any recommendations up to about an hour away.

We haven't done one near Orlando so can't speak from personal experience, but Google Maps should give you a good idea of the nearest ones (link).

On TripAdvisor, Wild Willy's Airboat Tours and Spirit of the Swam Airboat Tours both have very good feedback and should be ~30-40 minutes drive from LBV.

One to avoid, IMO, is Wild Florida. We did a private hour with them last August and felt it was a waste of time. Taken to one Aligator spot only and the rest of the time parked up in different locations looking at trees, or cows.

August is not a good time to see alligators, it is too hot, they are all underwater.

It is also hunting season - so they are somewhat (understandably) shy.
But it is when we go, so has to be August. I would suggest trying to get there as early a time as possible as they hide from the sun later in the day.

Also with 16 you may be able to block book a ride (but would have to do that direct with the company) and would have to see what times they had available. But you could always do it and ask for a booking discount

Spirit of the Swamp is the best one I've done.
They only have small boats though for 6 people (much better than bigger boats), and I think they only have 2 boats, but might be worth a query to find out

+1 Spirit of the Swamp, had a really good trip with them but boat will not hold all of you, we were lucky enough to have just the three of us and the pilot onboard
