Best Beach with other things to do around it

Just wondering where you think the best beach with other things to do is? We like the beach but not to sit at all day - wondering where has shops or other things to do? thanks

I'd like to follow your thread as we are wondering which beach is best, Clearwater, St Pete's etc. We are the same, don't want to be on the beach all day, would like to do other things.

Not an easy answer, Walton Beach is amazing but to far for most.
Clearwater can be really busy great beach but we prefer St Pete's and Tampa is not too far away.
Cocoa Beach is the nearest and great shopping at Merritt island and the quietest Beaches We like Canaveral beach next to Cocoa beach and KSC.

Colder than what? It makes no or very little difference which coast you are on.

only ever been to cocoa beach, never went on the sand, just ron jons

we always think about a " beach day " but never do it, mainly as we can " beach " here, you cannot go to TL or BB here, so we use our " beach day " as a waterpark day LOL

You drove 50 miles just for Ron Jons? You could have just gone to the Florida Mall.
