Recommendations for a day at the beach?

Suncream. Often. I have never allowed my kids to burn. When they were 13 and 16 I fell asleep on the beach (carefully under an umberella). Neither they nor DH had a sensible bone between them and the kids were raw. Wrote off the next day of the trip.

Gone are the days of trying to sun cream a very wriggly child desperate to get out and play, mine are both adults now and perfectly capable of sorting out their own cream
