Yes they make it up as they go along. Before Mrs Mickie was Mrs Mickie we approached the Immigration desk together only to be asked “are you married” and one of us sent back to the line. Next time I got shouted at for hanging back. Good luck with that one!

Definitely luck of the draw...first time I went with my gf we tried to go through together and I was told to step back behind the line. The guy wasn't rude or nasty he just explained the rules.

Once the gf was sorted he waved me through...I walked up to the counter and he said "well well well...so you're the boyfriend are you? Let's see if you're up to scratch". He was brilliant, it was like I'd just turned up to his door to take his precious daughter on a date 😂

Luck of the draw i'm afraid as they please themselves and use it as an excuse to give you a telling off if you've done as advised and they see things differently. i often wonder if they really want tourists.

There will be someone at the front of the line directing everyone. They will tell you what to do. It’s changed back and forth many times for us. Most often we are told to go together (we live together but are not married).
