My friend is looking to go away end of Oct this year with her kids 10 and 7. She is recently widowed so looking for a nice villa with pool or a quiet resort somewhere in Europe but not Lanzarote (too many memories)…

She wants to be able to walk to shops restaurant's etc as doesn't want to drive.

any suggestions for her please ?

Tell her to look at Cambrills near Salou, there where people advertising their villas around the local markets so may find something in Airbnb.
We stayed in Ricon de la Victoria last year, a very Spanish resort but lots of sea front apartments to let. My niece was renewing her wedding vows and stayed in a villa there but it was at the top of a very steep hill, really need a car for that one.
