We came back yesterday in seats 7H and K, we flew out on 7A and C. We have flown in row 1 too and much prefer row 7. We were last to receive drinks/food on both occasions so it doesn't seem to matter which side you are on but that didn't bother us. One of the first off the plane on both occasions and that's the main reason I prefer those seats.

It 'feels' a much inferior product to Virgin's premium, however, as Mick said for the difference in price I'd do it every time.

We have flown both and prefer row 7. My husband is 6’3” and found the leg room more than adequate in row 7 & we had the added bonus of being able to recline without disturbing anyone. It is the only flight my husband has managed to sleep on. Row 1 was noisier as we could hear the cabin crew chatting (albeit quietly) the whole way. Didn’t bother us as it was outbound but coming home this May have been more annoying.
