Calais to Disney Tolls?

Couple of weeks time and we're braving the french roads to drive to Disney, can anyone tell me how many, how much & how to pay for the tolls en route? According to googlemaps the A26/E15 & A1 are both partial toll roads.

From what I can remember there was only one toll when we went and it cost around £15. You can pay by cash or credit card.

The French roads were a pleasure to drive on after a drive down from Scotland, so much more relaxed, quieter and far better quality !

15 quid for a toll? are you serious?

Edit: Just checked mappy.com and the toll is 19.60 Euro! my GOD, that puts the £1.20 for the Tyne Tunnel firmly back in its box.

:)

In January the tolls cost us 19.60 euro each way. You pay just once on each journey and you can use cash or credit card. Under 3 hours easy drive to the magic.

Thanks, is it an easy drive then? driven in the states shed loads of times but never in europe, heard tons of horror stories about how french roads & drivers are an absolute nightmare.

Its an easy drive just watch you keep to the speed limits as you take a toll card when you join the road and as it is timed your average speed can also be worked out, one of our friends got a speeding fine this way, but it was a while back so system could of changed

We always plan the route with the Via Michelin site. The directions are word for word whats on the overhead signs. When you get to Charles De Gaule airport, wait for the huge Disneyland sign and follow those until you get there.

It is an easy drive, but be careful as we find the slip roads can sometimes sneak up on you and are not always clearly posted! You should be fine though, we never had any problems and have driven there 4 times. We went in March and paid about 18 euros each way. Just stop at the first booth (it's on the passengers side) and take a ticket, when you reach the exit booths (it's a long, long way!) just hand your ticket to the person waiting there and the price comes up on the machine thingy(!) We always pay in cash, though you can use your card. It's very quick and you're through in a jiffy!
Are you using a sat nav? Ours was great and takes us right to the hotel. If not the disney website give directions with an estimation of journey time, fuel costs and toll costs.
Dont worry, it's very easy to drive to Disney!

Yeah i'll be using my TomTom so should be ok, right upto date with my maps (feb 09) and speed cams

Gonna be a long drive from the North East, splitting it up though and staying in a hotel in the cambridge area on the saturday night, otherwise it'll be about a 10 hour drive.

another vote for Via Michelin & i always take my Michelin map too.

Also cafes at the service stations are MUCH better than in the UK.
