AKV housekeeping - rude awakening

We’ve just been rudely awoken by housekeeping at 8.15am, I was as awake and dibbing already .
Today is our check out day and we will be staying until the last as our flight doesn’t depart until 8pm. Yesterday I requested late check out but was told no because they’re fully booked, that’s fine, we’ll use the pool and shower down there.

Housekeeping must have knocked 8 times on the door and have woken all of the family up at 8.15am, why would you knock on anyone’s door so early and then knock 8 times. I confess I was so annoyed that I didn’t bother to answer but how very rude

I wouldn’t be happy and would have called reception and complained. Probably get a few Disney dollars too. If it was after 10am ( check out time) then fair enough

We had this when we stayed at AKL on our last night a couple of years ago. The housekeeping lady literally wouldn’t give up and I actually had confirmed a late check out! In the end, we left early and sat in reception. I did complain and got an apology from Disney.

Yep we’ve had this onsite before! So very annoying! Even with a do not disturb sign they still knock! I might put a sign on next time saying don’t knock, we won’t be checking out intel 10am!

Never stayed onsite but is there no 'do not disturb' signs?!
I must admit, I would always answer the door, even if it was early. It would have saved all the knocking, just a polite 'go away' and it would have been done with!

Son had this at CBR two weeks ago, had do not disturb sign on and she knocked but then walked straight in at 8.30- she caught him in his birthday suit too, so not sure who would have been more embarrassed 😳. I wish now we had complained at front desk as he was mortified bless him!

This would annoy me very much! I would answer door with a very firm, we are not leaving yet... Also a mention at checkout re early knock.

All Disney Resorts and hotels seem to be the same, Disneys Vero Beach was a nightmare. They knocked and when we said we were going at 10am, they vacuumed the connecting room and the hall and generally made an indecent amount of noise from 8am onwards. From the Grand Floridian through to All Stars on the days we checked out they hassled us to leave!

I found they do this fishing for a tip before you leave. Haven't had it happen when tipping each day but it did when we didn't tip until end of the holiday.
