Anyone good with gardening advice please?

I am looking for climbing plants that are easy to maintain and will grow in large pots. I would prefer evergreen ones.

Can anyone suggest any that would do the job and are easy to maintain.
p.s they are for climbing up a pergola.

Thanks in advance

Maybe a clematis or a honeysuckle?!

I’m no gardener - can’t stand gardening, but my dad has these growing up a wall in his garden. (They can’t take much upkeep because he’s far from a keen gardener either!)

We have these and they are lovely. Even grow brilliantly in shaded areas. Can’t even see our shed or it’s roof at all now which is lovely. Smell lovely and being evergreen is great.

Thanks, I have looked at clematis and there seem to be hundreds of different ones lol Will look at honeysuckle...It's good to know they are easy enough to look after.

Actually our leaves stay green but never drop so always lovely, especially when they flower.

Wow yours looks gorgeous? Is it easy enough to prune (I think that's the right term lol)

Yep. Just chop back any growth that’s too much for where you want it.

You wouldn’t think so to look at my garden currently but I used to love gardening.
I love clematis and had a lovely one climbing next to my front door for years but then one year it completely died off. I now have a jasmine in there because I love the smell of the jasmine when we walk to Universal. It’s climbing right up to my bedroom window - it’s never flowered yet and so doesn’t smell but I live in hope 😂😂
