Fingers crossed to those with upcoming sailings. I am shocked that MSC are telling people if they’ve been bumped or not so last minute. I’m due to go on a later July sailing but I have to say it all makes me feel a bit anxious. We were also considering booking an additional room for my husband who is not sure if he could get the holiday but now can, but reluctant to do so and risk more cash being given to MSC.

Let’s hope they get their act together😫

MSC have started sending out communications this evening saying that they’ve been told by the government today they can sail at 50% capacity provided everyone onboard is fully vaccinated. Anyone over 18 who isn’t fully vaccinated will now be refused boarding even with a negative test result which is a major change of policy on MSC’s part! Fortunately we're all fully vaccinated so should still be allowed to board tomorrow but I feel so sorry for those who now won’t be able to sail!

Wow that’s a massive change! Bet there’ll be a lot of unhappy people that have booked but not yet double jabbed.

Flipping heck, that's a huge change to spring on people with only a few days notice. I'd be furious if I'd booked and that came in and meant I couldn't go.

This may impact my travel group… will need to see if we can move a scheduled second vaccine.

Are you on board sipping a cocktail now?!🍹

This new rule means we’ve had to cancel for 6th July but have managed to transfer the booking to 3rd august by which time i will be just over 2 weeks clear of my 2nd jab so both fine and the kids being under 18 will be exempt. My travel agent says it’s confirmed and will all be price matched to the same price I paid already. I bloody hope so as the new date was an eye watering £1500 dearer.
