A few years ago we were at Typhoon with my family, (mum, dad, sister), and my mum and I were sitting on a low wall off to one side with our legs in the water up to our knees. It was lovely, really relaxing, and we were having a lovely chat. The wave machine started up, but we were well away from it so were quite happy. Until the wash from the waves suddenly whooshed a ton of water towards us, which swept underneath us and smacked into the wall, shooting several millions (!) of gallons of water behind then up and over us! Mum and I could hardly breathe for laughing, we looked like a pair of drowned rats! That is one of my favourite memories of my late mum - she was always very proud of her perfect hairstyle, not that day though!
What a lovely memory to have

Our kids all think Volcano Bay is the best. I’m a bit old school and have always enjoyed Blizzard Beach. To be honest they are all good in different ways and had lovely times at them.

We love Aquatica. We go for a Roe Rapids Cabana (comes with fridge and water, towels and locker) and is central to the Park as a base.

There is a lot to do, even for non thrill seekers, Roe Rapids is brilliant and fast, Loggerhead Lane is a more traditional lazy river which goes past their dolphins, Their wave pool is spacious. The theming is subtle but the park is still well put together.

But as a previous poster said, there is something for everyone at all the parks, all different, all fun.

We did blizzard beach and volcano bay last time! Both were great, volcano bay has a bigger lazy river, although it was busier than the Disney ones! Love the theming at blizzard beach 🏖

Volcano Bay- and by some margin, we loved it there.
