Christmas baking ideas for young children?

DS8 & DS3 would like to do some Christmas baking. Any suggestions?
It will need to be pretty quick and simple, but not mince pies as neither like those.
Thanks in advance 🙂

Roll of puff pastry and small pastry cutter circles. You can put, cheese, marmite or my son likes BBQ. Sauce. Put a pastry lid on top, crimp it down and egg glaze and pop in the oven. Or cheese twists are a good one with ready roll puff pastry. Really simple but my kids loved them when they were young. Fridge bake is also an easy one or rocky road?

I’m seeing lots of puff pastry Christmas trees online allrecipes/recipe/25...hristmas-tree/

Or peppermint bark. That’s simple to make and very tasty.

Rice crispy cakes with a blob of white chocolate and possibly red and green fondant on top so they look like Christmas puddings.

jam tarts instead of mince pies, you can still put a little star or shape on the top in pastry and sprinkle with icing sugar to make them look pretty!

On a card draw chistmas trees or anything to do with Christmas then buy or make some pasty cut out your shapes then place on rolled out pasty cut around the shaped cook then with food dye let the children coulor in the shapes. You can use things like chocolate melted and dip shapes in or 100 and 1000 what ever the children like.

Chocolate rice crispy cakes are easy. Can add all sorts of toppings or flavours.
Simple biscuit recipe and decorate with icing in tubes or other cake decorations or a stencil with sieved icing sugar

My daughter (10) managed to make some really yummy sugar cookies by herself using recipe on onceuponachef.com so that should be manageable with assistance - rolling the balls in sugar and them squishing them was the fun parts she said, so you could always make the dough and then let them do the rest.

Shes also going to make the pastry/nutella christmas tree but using jus-rol croissant dough instead of puff pastry.

Gingerbread is a great one because it's nice and firm to use with a selection of cookie cutters and retains the shape once cooked
