Theatres in London(Savoy)

So I have 2 questions.
I want book a show in the Savoy Theatre is the upper circle horrendously high? I’ve tried to look at view from my seat and it doesn’t look awful but I don’t like it when it’s raked really steep and your feet are on the person belows shoulder(I’m a bit apprehensive with heights)
Also if you book what happens if there are COVID restrictions or we can’t get there for whatever reason?

I have been to Savoy numerous times and its wonderful, but only sat in dress circle and stalls. I didn’t notice upper looked unusual if that’s any help. Saw one of our favourite shows Dreamgirls there, which was outstanding and 9-5 was fun.

I’ve looked at pictures and it doesn’t look awful and I would get one at the end of the row incase I got claustrophobic (I’ve sat in some that are steep and I felt unsafe! So avoid anything but the stalls usually but the price is so good!)
I had the Dreamgirls booked in Liverpool but it got cancelled - gutted!
Thank you

Actually yes, I do find it pretty steep and very little leg room.

Check out theatremonkey website for seat reviews.

I have sometimes got cheap(ish) seats right at the back of the stalls instead.

I’ve been looking at pictures to try and suss it out! I haven’t looked at theatremonkey though.
These are on row C so not right at the back and the view on the pictures I saw looked not bad but I’m not great with heights

I’ve sat right at the top in the back row of the upper circle! Yep, it’s very high and steep but the view is great. It was a while ago but I don’t remember it being horrendous.

We also saw 9-5. In fact just sneaked that in at end of Feb 20 before lockdown. David Hasselhoff had finished his run as the boss, but Brian Conley was great.
We were a couple of rows back in the lower circle , and I do remember the upper part looking quite high. Not sure it would put me off though.

Only ever sat in the stalls & DH always complains about the lack of Emergency Exits! But I think I remember saying I wouldn't want to be 'up there' as regards the Upper circle.

I dont remember it being the highest I've sat in a theatre- but it is steep and little leg room. Great views though. That being said I wouldn't put my mother up there- shes petrified of heights!
