Is it cruel to cats don't want to watch it if its showing sad things or suffering to animals but I do like a good drama ?

any actual footage of abuse is blurred or partially obscured, but they do describe what happens in detail at a couple of points.

We started to watch it before Christmas. Couldn’t handle the footage shown and said not for us (we are huge animal lovers), then my dh started to watch it again as someone had told us it doesn’t show the killing part without it blurred. I just didn’t look. But on the whole it was really good and gripping!
