I did 22 years in the Army with an MOD 90 and then I did 10 years as a CS where I had a different ID Card.
Whist no wanting to cause any offence, you are wrong!

I am both a veteran and a current MOD Civilian and have the card with the letters on that allow me access to my home site, this card allows you to access other sites, however some sites place restrictions upon you (i.e need to be escorted). So if your job entails visiting other MOD sites you can apply for a MOD 90 to access other sites without hindrance.

I have one and where on serving personnel's cards it says either Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines or Royal Air Force mine says MOD Civilian.

How are you issued a MOD 90? You work in APC?

Husband is exactly the same - Veteran & MOD Civilian now. Not everyone at his place gets a MOD90 but he needs one for his job so had to apply for it.
