Masks at Disney

Ok so, I have a reservation for BC arriving 21st September. We have a 1 year old, 4 year old and a 6 year old. Having to wear masks is the main reason (along with no dining plan, no parades, no fireworks etc.) we are unlikely to go.

Has it been suggested how long they intend on making guests wear masks?

I've noticed on live streams that there are quite a few people around Disney Springs that aren't wearing masks (who aren't eating or drinking)?

What does everyone else think about the masks?

I would think for the foreseeable.

Orange and Osceola both have mandatory mask mandates even outside the parks.

Our numbers are crazy, through the roof I think the masks are here to stay

I would assume not forever though.

I called into the Disney store yesterday & you had to wear a mask even in there. They ask if you had your own, if not they gave you one and asked if you were returning to bring one. The said they were following the same rules as the parks.

Unfortunately I think the wearing of masks are going to be mandatory until the CDC and local authorities deem it safe which with current numbers is not going to be anytime soon.

Masks, No FPs, No park hopping, no EMH, no pools, no water parks are all reasons our October holiday is now uncertain. But more rules, more restrictions, more tension, less relaxation while in the parks.
No point spending thousands to not have the Magical holiday you want. Why even spend the extra to stay in a Disney Resort if there are no perks.
We love Disney as you really do forget the outside world for 2 weeks, but currently you will loose that sense of total isolation from the world.

Everyone has been in a supermarket when someone coughs or sneezes (worst if its you) and everyone goes into mass panic and the stares. Imaging this in a theme park queue.

It would be unbearable wearing a mask in the heat ☹️
It would probably be until there's a vaccination.

I couldn't say if anyone coughed or sneezed in a supermarket. I go round with my list, get my shopping and then I'm out.

I think a lot of people underestimate this and is probably one of the reasons why compliance is so low.
