Day 3 - Theme park design, scrapbooking, Mickey Ears & all you care to enjoy buffet
Today was supposed to be a rest day as we were heading to the beach. But as usually happens with plans, they are flexible so we added another “park day” to our camp. We started with “pancake cereal”! I’ve never heard of this but DD was keen to try it from some You Tuber she’d seen. She enjoyed it - we just had normal pancakes! Then she moved onto doing more of the Khan Academy classes. She’d finished designing her land yesterday, so moved on to ride design. She’s absolutely loving these lessons and I’d highly recommend looking it up for kids from around 10 upwards. Great fun! Next we moved on to trip report/scrapbooking. She had loads of fun going through bits and pieces we’d picked up on holiday as well as my planning folder and other useful things. We’ll come back to this later in the week as she didn’t get much further than collecting stuff together. After lunch of leftover mac n cheese we moved on to making Mickey Ears. She made an Alice in Wonderland one first Then she started a Lilo and Stitch inspired one, but gave up on that. Next was an Up inspired one that’s turning out great! It’s taking ages though so we’ll have to come back to that too! Next up was making Mickey dessert. We had these after our “All you care to Enjoy” buffet. We have another full day planned for tomorrow so we missed the Epcot fireworks tonight that we’d planned. We’re going to slot them in tomorrow |

Day 4 - Mickey Ears, trip reports, Epcot & Sanaa
First off DD finished making her Up Mickey Ears she started yesterday. She has really gotten into this Next we moved on to trip reports and scrapbooking, where she decided she had to make her own stickers! Then we made some of the Sanaa dips for later and decided to go to Epcot for a while after that. We walked on Frozen which we really enjoyed, then got on Test Track. This was closed when we were there so this was great - I wish we’d got on it now! So cool. Then we went to Spaceship Earth and on to Mission Space. We finished up with Soarin and the fireworks. After a busy day we went to Sanaa and had the famous bread service. Another great day. Our last day tomorrow 😢 |

Absolutely brilliant! I’m loving your trip report while realising how much I miss reading them.

This is brilliant ... makes me wish I had younger kids again so I could also do it.

Day 5 - Rest morning, Up, Hollywood Studios and Pizza Planet
We took it a bit slower this morning as we we were both up later and knackered after four full days! We started off with American pancakes for breakfast - that is supposed to be Mickey on top 😂 We went for a walk and then had lunch. Afterwards we did some trip report writing but DD wasn’t really in the mood so we scrapped that and let her choose a film. She went for Up - which somehow I had never seen. What a lovely film! We both enjoyed that with some popcorn. Next we went to Hollywood Studios where I was brave enough to go on Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollercoaster. I hated both! Next up we did Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway which was really lovely. Then we went into Toy Story Land which was amazingly quiet so we had a quick go on Toy Story Mania and then hopped on Slinky Dog Dash. We enjoyed both of them. We then park hopped over to Animal Kingdom for Expedition Everest. Wow, I’m glad I didn’t go on that when we were there! It’s horrible 😂 Finally we got on Kali River Rapids as that was closed when we were there in February. We loved this, even if we did get soaked! After another fun day we had Pizza Planet pizza for dinner Our week is now officially at an end but I think we might squeeze in a couple more rides on Saturday as we ran out of time! |
