I dont mind booking park days but when capacity does go up they are going to have to implement some some of fast pass and or more virtual queuing. They won't want people spending all their time in queues not spending money. I hope park hopping is back by next December. Its not a deal breaker but I do like having the option to do it.

What makes you think guest numbers will be restricted,. Disney management won't turn paying guests away, or have I missed where they have said they will limit the number allowed to enter ?.

I've not read all the threads on this.

Park hopping is a very big deal for us. We stay at The Yacht Club and always make use of morning early magic hours and evening ones if available therefore we are never in the same park AM and PM.

Like others have said we have been going to Disney and staying onsite for more than 20 years and we feel lucky that we’ve probably experienced the very best that Disney offered.

We are still hoping to go back late summer 2022 so I really hope that a lot of the current restrictions are long gone and that DDP is back otherwise I don’t see that trip happening ... which would be very, very sad indeed.

I think it’s a shame that if you are lucky enough to stay in one of the hotels near the parks (monorail or Epcot resorts) you won’t be bale to just go to the park for a couple of hours adhoc.

We liked to just have a wander in Epcot in the evening when we stayed at the Beach Club.

I don’t really see how this will work - we don’t tend to park hop but we also rarely manage more than 6-7 hours in the summer heat - so if everyone did that it could be very empty for part of the day -and that is a money loser.
Also, if reserving a park in advance stays for good, does that mean that Disney won’t sell walk up tickets?

We pre-plan and lock in our parks six months in advance due to the dining plan so with or without the dining plan I wouldn't see it causing us an issue as long as we can get the parks we want.

Im not necessarily opposed to a reservation system persisting as long as they manage to tweak it in due course to include waterparks and perhaps even a limited form of hopper options, but i think people are getting unduly worried-its in place for the foreseeable but thats only because Covid is with us for the foreseeable. When Coivd has been made as manageable as most other viruses, or perhaps even has a vaccine, which is looking likely, then there is no way in hell Disney will continuing offering such a restricted package-its market share simply wont tolerate it.

I think the changes that will be permanent are the changes that Disney has been gradually pushing for a while now and Covid simply provided the impetus-such as the now almost ubiquitous mobile ordering, and perhaps even making it less easy to just waltz into a resort you arent staying at without them being fairly certain they will be getting some money from you (currently you need a reservation or proof of a mobile order from the resort quick services).

I don't think I will really mind, we have already booked our dining 180 days in advance and our fastpasses 60 days in advance so really we know where we are going to be anyway.
