A little suggestion for advent calendars

Start them early! Open number 5 on November 5th, open numbers 1 to 4 from 25th November onwards. Every door opened is a day nearer to the end of lockdown. The last few days you will have to manage without, but then it will be nearly time to be released.
Even better if it is a gin advent calendar.

I�ve got 2 advent calendars so rather than opening them both in December I�m planning to open one from 7th November and the other as normal. Not gin I�m afraid, one is beauty, the other is sweets.

I was going to time one with the end of lockdown but I don�t want to set myself up for disappointment.

Same here, in my heart of hearts, I don�t believe the 2nd December will be the end. Keeping our advent calendars until December

It will be , I�m sure they�ve said by law it has to finish on the 2nd and then be back to tiers .

They have said it can be extended. However, tiers are still problematic for some businesses and for us, we would still be up the creek without a paddle lol.

I�ve spoken to a few businesses today that have said �we won�t see you before Christmas now� so there�s certainly a wide consensus (here) that the 2nd December won�t be the end.

Love this idea!

Whilst I'm also sceptical about it only lasting a month, I'm going to get my boys to open their No 5 tonight when they get home from school. Will be good for them to have a countdown to when they might be able to get back to playing football ⚽️
