I’ve spent my whole life in Greater London and Surrey, so I think I have a fairly standard accent for round here.

I should probably sound posher as I had elocution lessons at school though 😂

Another RP due to elocution at grammar school.
Our first maths lesson was how to correctly write a cheque, for 'when ones husband gave one a cheque book'.
Ok so I'm a bit older!

I live in Liverpool but don't have the accent. I was born in Cheshire but I don't think I have a strong regional accent, just Northern I guess! OH has what I'd call a moderate scouse accent, not really strong but enough that most people notice it if we're visiting a different area.

Might have been born in Essex but have always spoken RP and often been called posh for it.

I live near Harrow but I sound like the Harrow boys school cleaners more than The Harrow Boys!

I get told I sound posh, once got told I was 'putting it on' 🙄😂. I'm from Winchester. I've no idea what my accent is though, or if it's just RP.

I suppose I have a Perth accent, but no one thinks they actually have an accent, do they? When I hear myself and friends speak, I don't detect an accent, but when I hear some of the other locals my toes curl. As beautiful as the Scottish accent can be, it has an ugly side too. I think Perth might fall into the ugly side? Who knows.

I just wish I had enough self confidence to use my own dialect to each and every other person I speak to, but I always find myself adjusting it, dependent on who I'm speaking to

I was born in Birmingham over spill of Redditch . But brought up I. Countryside of worcestershire. No particular accent but called posh boy by my partner from Derbyshire. I do sometimes have a West country /Gloucester twang for some reason.

The Perth accent is lovely , it’s certainly not ugly. My accent , west coast but not Glaswegian, is a much broader accent than I would say yours was , but I wouldn’t call it ugly.
And with regards to dialect, I know that I change how I speak depending on whether or not I think the person will understand me, or the situation. If I’m going full belt Scottish with one of my friends you wouldn’t have a clue if you weren’t familiar. The same I think could be said for most regional dialects.
