Yes definitely, unless you don’t really drink and then go for full board

Great 😊 I don’t drink alcohol so full board it is. Is there any particular areas you would recommend? As I said, not fussed about snorkelling, but DS does love nature. Thanks

There are so many gorgeous islands in the Maldives
I would recommend deciding a rough budget first as this narrows it down a little
Think whether you would like a larger island with more going on or a small quiet island
Whether you are happy with a speed boat or a sea plane

We took our son to Kuramathi which he enjoyed as there were lots of different areas to explore and so much wildlife

We always recommend all inclusive - even the soft drinks add up in the Maldives because of course everything is imported onto the island.

For a first timer, I would recommend Kuramathi as well. It’s one of the bigger islands, so means there’s a little bit more going on - but it’s not a party island. That’s not the Maldives - which I think is where the hard rock is coming in. I believe HR is closer to Male as well. We always recommend to be a bit further away from Male to get that tropical island feeling.

Have a look at Kuramathi . We are hoping to go there on honeymoon, now that covid has ruined our original plan.

It’s 20 minutes by seaplane, or an hour/hour and half by speedboat from Male. There are several different meal plans - again recommend all inclusive to cover the cost of soft drinks, it’s hot so you will drink. There is an Al a Carte all inclusive as well, fantastic plan if you want to try all of the restaurants, but not a must do if you don’t fancy it - you can pay OOP to visit these if you just fancy one. (We usually say book the top All Inclusive if you want to do 3/4 of those restaurants).

All inclusive also includes cost of snorkelling hire, a local island visit, a sunset cruise and windsurfing equipment (lessons are more).

I’m impressed - nearly a year on furlough/unpaid leave and I’ve not forgotten yet 😂
