We are lucky to be here now
Our planet has been here for about 4.5 billion years and some amazing advances that we all benefit from has only happened in the last century. Just 200 years ago our lifespan would have only been around half of what it is today (so most of us on the dibb wouldn’t be here).
The future of our planet isn’t looking too good especially regards global warming, and although Earth is going to be around for about 7 billion more years, humans will only be around for a fraction of that time. So we really are so lucky to be around at this time in history. |

The chances of my live overlapping with yours in this way is billions to one.
As such, there was a significant chance I'd never get to read your thought-provoking prose on this very website. Boy, am I lucky. |

I went to a posh grammar school in Upminster, but Google is always around to help those from deprived inner London areas!

The earth’s age had to be recalibrated when Zircon was found as a mineral/gemstone. It was tested and found to be older than earth. And earth had to be older than scientists thought.

I wonder who the next intelligent species will be on Earth once were all dust? Will it be sea based because of global warming and rising sea levels? I can see a form of Octopodidae could quite possibly be our successor. Lots of tentacles for manipulation of objects such as metals etc...

Sandra, have you ever heard of something called 'Google.' If not ask your kids to help you. Once you know how to use Google then you simply enter 'Prose meaning' and you will get your answer (as below):
prose noun [ U ] US /proʊz/ ENGLISH written language in its ordinary form rather than in the form of poems (Definition of prose from the Cambridge Academic Content Dictionary © Cambridge University Press) |

I googled it and am still none the wiser, so it’s writing something that isn’t a poem! 🤷
