Alternatives to Skechers

I've been wearing and loving Skechers for years and always take several pairs to Florida for the huge amount of walking we do. When I discovered them I thought my search for the perfect vacation trainers for my problematic feet was over... Until this year. I have started walking and find that my Skechers are now giving me blisters and hurting my feet.

I have previously had neuromas removed from the balls of my feet leaving my footpads pretty much non existent and had arthroplasty on 6 of my toes. I also have bunions albeit currently small but they hurt like hell sometimes! I wear gel pads provided by my consultant but even with those my Skechers are just not working for me any more.

So I am after recommendations to replace my Skechers. I do also have walking sandals but have to rotate my footwear as every pair causes different pressure points and prefer the support trainers give.

I started having surgery on my feet when I was 23.. Please tell your young female relatives and friends to wear sensible shoes in their younger years and don't go for fashion above comfort like I did or they will end up with awful feet!

Funnily enough I too have worn sketchers go walks for years and never had any problems with blisters yet after not wearing them for several months I got a heel blister wearing mine a few days ago.
Not quite the same as your problem as you have problems with the balls of your feet too.
I find these Karrimor sandals really comfortable as you can alter where the straps sit and there is enough cushion on the base of the sandal. Well priced too in Sports Direct under £20 and lots of different colours.

Sorry but I have had poor experiences with Karrimor, they didn’t last long before stitching started to come undone.
Have you tried different models within Skechers?- I have found they vary considerably ? On the go 600 (open toe) look very comfy 👍

Oh, I have had mine three years now and still as good as new, mind you at £15 I would be happy to get a year out of them 😊😂

merrells. im a fan of the jungle moc/slide type. they are similar to skechers go walk, but more sturdy IMO

I have JUST bought some of these exact sandals, in black too, and they are extremely comfy!
The uppers are stretchy and fit so well.
Got them from Skechers site and were in a sale too!
Might get another pair whilst they are reduced!

I decided to switch from Sketchers last year, I was fed up with the look of them. After my first day in whatever I replaced them with I ended up with very painful blood blisters. DH was arriving four days after me so he quickly organised these for me and they were perfect, will be my holiday shoes for some years now.
