Same here, I also expected a last minute plot twist and I was convinced it was the son (even before the hammer was found).
Bit disappointed with the ending.

Really enjoyed it just finished it all, me and dh both agreed Nicole Kidman’s face was odd almost too flawless. The blonde friend looked like one of the blonde woman in white chicks, still we thought it was great and Hugh Grant was brilliant
