As does mine! Thanks for pointing that out!

I don't want to be paying for an upgraded seat that may not be the same on a different plane!

Oddly VS show a slightly different dimension table on their website, quoting 18" of PE width vs Seat Guru, click HERE for their seat map that quotes 17.7".

I've read conflicting posts re Virgins 200 series, as they've only been refurbished two years some state VS may return them early or in 2022, others say they'll keep them longer, guess Virgin will decide at days end.

Been doing a bit of digging and it would seem that one of the four (Daydream Believer) has already been returned to the lessor, and a second aircraft (Strawberry Fields) was flown to Dresden in Germany in November, possibly for end of lease checks and maintenance.
That leaves the two in storage in the UK, one at Doncaster and the other at Glasgow.

There is an article on Simple Flying which seems to suggest that all of the A330-200s have already left the fleet. If this is true, I would imagine they will update the app once they can confirm what type of aircraft will be used.

I can’t paste the link as I’m too new a member but if you Google “Simple Flying Virgin A330” (other search engines are available), it should be the top result.

As of November 12th (when the article was published) the plan was still for the new A330-900s (which will replace the existing A330-300s) to begin deliveries in “the back end of 2022”, according to Virgin Atlantic’s CEO Shai Weiss - whether the continued COVID situation pushes this back remains to be seen. I suspect it will depend on the leasing arrangements with the A330-300s.

My understanding is that the new A339s will have the new seats consistent with the A350s. The 787s will be retrofitted eventually but the A333s will not if they do end up leaving. The Orlando route will be operated by the leisure-config A350s (still to be delivered) and the A339s.

So I wonder what we’ll be flying on in august (from Manchester) if it’s not the 330-200? Any ideas?

I will be following this as well. We are booked for November '21 in UC on an a330-200 and quite liked the configuration (we got extremely lucky in the sale with a great deal but then lost my job - doh!)

We will have to see what happens - the later flight is the a330-300 (we are on the earlier LGW-MCO) so it will be interesting to see what happens and if there are still the 2 x LGW-MCO per day as planned.

Like most of us, I just want to get away and have everything crossed that we can all get back there this year...
