Character dining
Visiting next August - planning on using our $200 gift card on one character meal ( 2 adults and 2 ch - boy aged 11 and girl aged 8). Last year we did Tusker in AK, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. Any recommendations please ?

Have a look at 1900 Park Fare in Grand Floridian. We went, on recommendation of other Dibbers, for breakfast and had Mad Hatter, Alice, Pooh and Tigger visit us (and the food was good). The evening session is Cinderella characters.
Does depend on what your children are interested in. I also enjoyed Cinderella's Royal Table but that is only princesses. If it is only "classic" characters then the Harvest Grill in EPCOT was lovely. Family dining (one big plate that you serve yourself from) with visits from Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. |

We really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare, it was on par for us with Tusker House. We did breakfast and it was fab. The characters on a morning are, Mad Hatter, Alice, Mary Poppins and Winnie The Pooh, you can also meet Tiger as you leave Xx

Crystal Pace at MK is lovely, light and airy. Great on a hot day at MK for lunch to get away from the heat. Its Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger etc. You usually get to see them a couple of times.
The food is of a good standard and you can have as much as you want.

O’hana breakfast is another option (that often seems overlooked). You meet Pluto whilst waiting to be seated, then Mickey, Lilo and Stitch. Food is served family style (but they will bring more of anything you want) and includes Mickey waffles, sausage, bacon, egg etc, plus the delicious pineapple bread! Short hop on the monorail to the MK once breakfast is done.
(Characters are only at breakfast here though). |

We loved Crystal Palace but hated 1900 park fare, it cost more and the food wasn’t half as good as Crystal Palace. The characters were good though. I just wouldn’t spend $170 on it again. Watching vlogs Ohana always looks amazing

Just returned from 1900 dinner really enjoyed it much better than Tusker House a couple of days ago. 1900 food was good and the characters were entertaining. Have also done 1900 breakfast on a previous visit and would also recommend that.

I think ask the children what they would like to do, which characters they would like to see. Next trip I am planning on Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare and Cinderella RT.

I order my choices would be.
1900 Park Fare dinner. Best character buffet food by a long mile and my favourite charterers. Ugly Sisters. Crystal Palace lunch or dinner. Lovely setting and for us a nostalgic tradition. 1900 Park Fare breakfast. Best quality breakfast character buffet food and more unusual characters. Mad Hatter always good value. Cape May Cafe breakfast at brunch time. Good food and relaxed character interaction. Avoid the character meal at DHS. Consistently nasty IMO. If you don’t want to get up and down the Garden Grill would be my honourable mention.
