Anybody take minimal clothes and then shop for holiday clothes?

Hi
We have been to Florida in the past and shopped whilst there to bring things back but now thinking of going out with very minimal clothes and buying there for the holiday.
This is particularly for my two teenage boys 17 and 14 who have both had a massive growth spurt in the last year. It seems silly spending loads of money here.
Our first planned day is simply a pool day to relax and I am thinking of shopping in the afternoon or evening and basically getting quite a lot to see them through the holiday,
Wondered if anyone risks not taking many clothes and buying it all there.
If you do which shopping centre do you head to.
I guess clothes that will be needed are shorts, tees, swim shorts, a few nice shirts for evenings. That's about it.
Thanks.

We did this second year round and could hardly find anything! First year we found loads of clothes and had taken loads, so had that idea second time round, but definitely didn't find as many bargains and I had so few clothes I ended up in DH tshirts a lot of the time.

We tend to go to the Premium Outlets.

After so many visits I have got packing down to a fine art and take minimal with me, whether I buy out there or not, I have discovered that you really do not need that much.
When we took the boys they were into A&F Hollister, Converse all the usual brands teens are into etc.

For cheaper stuff Wallmart or Target were great

I would suggest that when you go for the grocery shopping in Walmart send them to pick up a couple of pairs of shorts and t-shirts, then wait and have a look at the outlets

Thanks luckily its not my clothes so I will risk it. We are stopping in a villa most of the time so washing wouldn't be an issue.
I am going to have to buy one or two things until we go as they really have grown out of their summer clothes so need a few bits now anyway, the rest I will chance when we get there.
It's not like anybody sees you twice on a holiday in Florida.
So annoyed the 14 year old is the same size as his older brother so no more hand me downs anymore!

That's a great idea as I could do with a few cheap tops for around the pool etc anyway. Great idea.

I just make sure I have loads of trainer socks and a few pairs of shorts (as I tend to dislike lightweight american ones for some reason)

I only take a few t-shirts because I buy loads whilst I'm there. I usually take my old gym trainers for wearing round the parks too but chuck them once I buy more.

But if they are anything like my 14 year old son they will be bothered about what they look like so image conscious unbelievable!

For an easy relaxing shop I would try Lake Buena Vista outlet.
There's a GAP, Aeropostale, Old Navy, Rockport amongst others.
VF store is also good although it may not have the labels your boys are looking for.

Our 2 sons take 2 tee-shirts each and we make a point of going to PF Changs for a nice meal and afterwards they head into the Mall for the start of their shopping
