Wednesday 28th August
Breakfast was at the villa. DD had peanut butter toast, DH had coffee and I had a Frosties cereal bar. DH and I shared some raspberries by the pool. Lunch was Texas toast and onion rings with Lays. DD had scrambled egg with hers. The evening was spent in Epcot. DD had a kid's pasta with marinara and meatball from Sunshine seasons. This came with a drink and 2 sides either from the main counter or the fridge. She had Dasani, wedges and we took a cookie for DH to have later. I decided to try Lotus Blossom again This time I had a kid's sweet and sour chicken. This came with some apple sauce which I didn't really want/like and a small carton of Orange. I enjoyed the meal and would definitely have it again. This was $7.95 plus tax. DH had Guacamole with Totopos (Tortilla Chips) in Mexico, DD and I had a few of the plain nachos from the side. He also had a beer. This was about $21. The beer cost more than his food! Edited at 12:30 PM. |

Great snack haul.
We’ve never been to outback but I really like the look of the bloomin onion.

I’ve been mulling over Lotus Blossom vs. Nine Dragons, I think Lotus Blossom’s menu appeals to me a little more and I love that the kid’s Sweet & Sour chicken has the sauce on the side as I hate when the batter goes soggy.

They are leaps and bounds apart imo. Unless you are looking to use up qs credits nine dragons is way above the quality of lotus blossom.

Thanks! We've done Nine Dragons before but never Lotus Blossom so was a bit torn. Lotus Blossom is the sensible option as it's a 3 ADR day but I was leaning towards TS.

Thursday 29th August
Another lie in as we had a late night. DH and I went to Publix for some hurricane supplies such as water and most importantly cake and cookies! There wasn't much water left at 9.45. We leave on Sunday so didn't want to buy too much but thought we should at least have some more water and a bit more food. We could only get smaller bottles of water. So we also got some of these just in case... DH had a coffee and cinnamon pastry (Flying saucer) from Publix back at the villa and I made some toast. We buy Italian bread here. Previous trips I've bought it at Walmart and frozen extra as it's $1. They didn't have any when we went the other day though and it's not worth the drive to Walmart just for that so we've bought it a few times in Publix for $2.99. Lunch was french bread, Lays and apple for me. DD had italian bread with cheese and apple and DH had a tomato sandwich. Dinner was at Outback. Pretty much a repeat of the other night although DH had coconut shrimp and steak this time and DD had French onion soup as well as her steak. No picture of the bloomin onion as DH and DD had started eating before I got a photo! When the bill came they had charged for both soups rather than charge $1 for one of them as a side. They also hadn't taken the $5 off for the offer we had. This was soon sorted. Back at the villa I had this.. Warning to anyone buying cakes with bright colouring, you will probably need to do your teeth after or they might stain!
