Slightly off topic but I’m still waiting for virgin to take the payment for our upper class seats in august, we booked back in September & ive spoken to virgin twice & they confirmed all is ok & they have payment details but id like to know we’ve actually paid for them !

Sorry to hijack the post but does anyone know what the hold up is with taking payment, do you think they’re literally just waiting to see if the flight goes ahead first ?

I had a similar problem with BA booking change a couple of years ago - turns out their system only keeps a note of the CVV number for a certain length of time and it had dropped off before they could process re-validating the e-ticket.

No they’re not doing that, it just hasn’t been ticketed fully yet. It happens a lot. I’d keep calling until you get someone to confirm they’ll do it there and then. It’s a pain if you get to check in and they haven’t done it.

Yes the figures don't add up - OP did you also check the fare conditions and key booking terms indicated below the total shown on your screenshot above before going ahead.

Should do, possibly, but if there's a £5k loss involved for them I can't see it.

Just read in another thread that an airline can move you to any seat on the plane so long as they refund you for any seat upgrades you have paid for.
