Lunch in St Augustine
Can anyone tell me of a nice place to eat lunch in St Augustine. We are doing a day trip and would like to know so we don't have to waste time looking everywhere. Thank you!

If you go into St Augustine town you won't find the normal chain restaurants, but lots of independents they are on every corner, loads of them to suit every taste and pocket, if you prefer the normal chains you find in the tourist places then just drive out of old town and they are plentiful.

JP Henley right across from the marina.
A1A Aleworks right across from the marina Barefoot Bills, end of the little enclosed shopping row on St George Street, last on the right before you get to the plaza Athena Greek restaurant in the plaza PizzaAlley Chianti Room on Charlotte Street Cuban Cafe on Hypolita 1/2 block off St George Street Burger Bucket corner of Orange and Cordova near the Visitors Information Center/Parking Garage. Harry's on the bay front. There's 400 restaurants here so plenty of choice. If you want the chains there all outside old town on US1 or 312, except Olive Garden, we don't have one, Edited at 05:26 PM. |

The cheese soup at A1a ale house is lovely. There are plenty of places to eat in St Augustine, most are Mom and Pop run paces.

we went to pizzalleys in the old town in june, it was very nice!
pizzalleyschiantiroom/ we also had a very nice early evening meal at salt life by the beach saltlifefoodshack/loc.../st-augustine/ (they were doing half price sushi and wine when we were there so got a seafood boil pot thing and a bunch of sushi rolls between us) |

Thanks for all the ideas but we particularly like sound of the salt life foodshack as we really enjoy seafood. Many thanks everyone!

I presume you are aware that this is by the beach, and not in the town centre area which is where most of the attractions are. It is 4 miles away, so you will need your car. Apart from the beach itself, the main attraction in that area is probably the lighthouse.
