That's really odd. They are pretty poor at replying to emails through their web site as well - maybe a phone call?

A bit like you as well when I log in with user name and password and get the barcode there's nowhere to go is there? No drop down to view or edit anything.

Mick
Thanks Mick.

I’ll try the email route before I brave the phone call!

The actual dates are correct so it may not be an issue.

So there are toll roads in Orlando? Any between the airport/Disney and the parks?

Yes. The two most direct routes to the parks are on toll roads. The best route to Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa Beach is also a toll road. The others depend on where you are staying and where you are trying to get to.

I live off 192 near Animal Kingdom and drive all over for my daughter's medical and therapy appointments. I use toll roads alot. Sometimes it is to avoid traffic on I4 which isn't a toll road.

Thanks. So how much are the toll roads and which roads to use to the parks to avoid these?

Or is it just best to get this pass?

This is what I linked a few posts ago on this thread.

sunpass/en/tolls/tollsSunPass.shtml

Don't be confused by "cashless" and "unmanned". Not many cashless in the greater Orlando area but you may find that most on/off ramps on toll roads are unmanned.

I posted a toll calculator somewhere in this thread as well - somewhere? But you can get to it through the link above

Or have a read of my post #83

Mick

Is this transponder something you can pick up at the airport?

Ballpark sort of figure, a trip to and from the airport, to all star music and then say a park and back each day, how much?

I've got to tell my husband about this unexpected expense if we choosefly drive. He drives, I don't.

This is the Visitor toll pass we’re all talking about

You collect it at MCO and drive out with it on your rear view mirror.

I may have mentioned trransponders a bit in the rest of this thread.

Basically residents like DonnaD will buy a transponder from the likes of Publix and CVS. It's pre-loaded with $ and it swipes it off as you pass through a toll then you top it up. Donna will tell you far more.

Some Avis cars have one fitted but not really much use as they aren't loaded with $$ in my experience and you just trigger the Sunpass scheme.

The VTP tag is not a transponder. It costs nothing until you've passed a toll

Mick

PS By the time you've driven from MCO to find a Publix or CVS you may have driven on a toll road anyway.

So what is right for me for hiring a car through virgin/Alamo? Will they have them at the pick up desk? Or if we bought one from Publix/cvs how would we pass the toll road until we have bought one?

I would go with VTP, I've used it before and it's very easy.
