Gosh, your poor wee Mason xx
His is such a complicated case, I honestly don't think the GP will be able to be much help tbh. Do you have access to his IBD team? Clinical nurse specialists, or consultant? These are the people that can help him as they are the ones that have prescribed and are involved with his care. Really hope you can get him some help x |

This brought a tear to my eye! Poor Mason, he has been through so much and is so brave, you too FT. I hope your GP gets back to you soon, if not I would bring him to A&E.

Update. The doctor gave him a full assessment and looked into all his notes. Although the Alder Hey ones are not up to date as she had no idea he is on infliximab 🙈
Another doctor came in and between them they think there is a possibility of MCAS. They think this because of his history of severe allergies (his allergy specialist had written MCAS as a suggestion on his notes before a few years ago, but its never been mentioned to me). If the mottled skin was only on his arms/extremities and/or he was cold then she would be inclined to think its poor circulation however his stomach and back is an angry purple and he was really warm (it doesn’t show up well on photos but looked angry at the surgery). His face, eyes and lips are swollen despite being on antihistamines and eye drops. So she thinks the swelling and mottled skin is severe allergies. He was struggling with his breath when we got there and she said his chest sounds tight so prescribed salbutamol inhaler. Told to take piriton and zirtec plus the eye drops. Blood tests are booked for Wednesday and she will see him again on Wednesday. We will get him sorted one day 🤞🏻 |

I have emailed the IBD and Dr Auth’s secretary. Sent photos and explained what the doctor said. They must think I am such a pest 🙈

You must keep contacting the medical professionals as necessary for your own and your little boys sake. So pleased the GP's are doing something, but if you have any concerns at all or there are any more changes in his condition don't hesitate to go to A and E. It is far better to be safe than sorry.
