Southend today

Best beach around for me is Shoebury East Beach... very nice... especially a walk with the hound around the old army barracks... nice piece of history there... All around the Golden Mile in summer is well... like Vegas on Crack... proved by the 2 dead bodies washed up on the shore last couple of weeks... Thorpe Bay and Chalkwell/Westcliff much prefer... Old Leigh was superb until de' yoots got all postcode over it... big gang/drug culture down that way at the moment and the authorities have got their hands full... shame as it's a lovely place for a walk over 2 tree Island and then a few pints at the Peter Boat...

Ah couldn't remember what that was called, had a very nice meal there.
Also what's the restaurant called by the Cliff Lift please?

I think you mean “Fisherman’s Wharf “ Sue
It’s gone now, I think they were re building it but I haven’t seen anything yet, I go along the seafront every day for work 🙊😎

It illustrates the problem with the travel restrictions.

Those fine gentlemen would normally be doing that in beach resorts right across Europe at this time of year! 😂

I drove along the seafront to shoeburyness on Saturday for fish and chips. Visiting my grandparents who live in Hadleigh for the first time in 2 years. Southend was packed!
