Virgin Reward Flight
Hi all,
Anybody had any experience of booking a flight using Virgin Reward Airmiles? We would have been gone and back this year based on original plans but never bothered tempting it last year with a booking. I now have 110,000 virgin points and should have1 if not 2 companion vouchers accrued. Looking to go from glasgow next April

Plenty of experience, what specifically do you want to know?
My recommendations are to be as flexible as possible, dates, length of stay, airports. Research first but virgin staff are very helpful when you call My latest reward seat booking is for March, LHR to lax using a companion voucher. For UC this meant 100% points for 1st seat and 50% points for 2nd seat.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Really I’m just struggling to pin down any availability. Quite happy to go via Manchester even though Glasgow direct would be preference. Also quite happy anytime in April as long as we are back before 9th may when youngest 1 will turn 2 so we don’t have to pay for him. Can I just phone and arrange a flight using points for a rough period of time that suits ?

I've just done a search for 2 adults in economy man-mco, there's availability for 29.3.22 returning 12.4.22. You can only book up to 30.4.22 currently.
Easter is 17.4.22, as that's a popular time to go to Florida they may not release many (or maybe no) reward seats. Give them a call, there maybe availability that's not showing online

Are you prepared to drive to Manchester? I think it's more likely you will be able to find rewards flights from Manchester than Glasgow. The ones above are via Atlanta.

thanks everyone for input.
Happy enough with Manchester if the reward flights are available. Don't know how keen I would be for an indirect flight with a 4 a nearly 2 yr old?!?
